Gemma Fisher was the British owner of Crestview Inn, the local hotel. She was worried about the drop in trade that would come as a result of the death of Danny Solano and the resulting criminal investigation. (Episode 1) However, she was also a great promoter of sympathy for the Solano family, signing the condolences book and telling a disrespectful customer to stop complaining about the drain to business the murder would bring and to "mourn respectfully" instead.
